Salad - Herring under Fur Coat

A holiday table would be considered incomplete if it didn't have a "herring under fur coat". It's a traditional layered salad made of finely chopped pickled herring, eggs, beets, carrots, potatoes and some type of dressing, either mayonnaise or a sour cream base.

Ingredients: Brined herring, potatoes, beets, onions, mayonnaise.
